Apple releases Mac OS X 10.3.5

Apple Computer this afternoon released Mac OS X 10.3.5, a system upgrade to Mac OS X "Panther" that the company says will deliver enhanced functionality and improved reliability. The update is free and recommended for all users.

As originally reported by AppleInsider, the Mac OS X 10.3.5 update includes updated Mail and Image Capture applications, improved font management, ATI and NVIDIA graphics drivers, additional FireWire and USB device compatibility, improved Bluetooth compatibility for Apple Wireless Keyboard and Mouse and Bluetooth phones, and improved compatibility for third party applications.

The system update also bundles previous standalone security updates, improved support for NTFS formatted volumes and improved reliability for user logins and mounting of home directories in a networked environment.

Mac OS X 10.3.5 is available over Software Update or as a standalone update from Apple.com
