No thanks, I'll wait for iPhone 5

Dan, since when do you care about Google's definition of anything? The iPhone 5 is still coming.

Well I had an Android, it took two years to add a new update to the family line and less thana year to discontinue it. There were only a few interesting apps many of which did not work on my phone and were poorly made ( well there was one that let me have a button that screamed Khan!!!! every time you hit it, some body make an iOS version please) and since there is no refund system you often feel ripped off.

For that and many other reasons, I think I can be happy with the iPhone 4S.

I wish reviewers would use the camera for more realistic uses in their tests; photos of people, outdoors and indoors.

That would be far more useful than photos of flowers.

(also, San Francisco isn't exactly the best city to show the clarity and sharpness of the new iPhone 4S camera! )

In my advanced age, I like the "S" upgrade cycle. Early adoption was more tolerable when I was younger and didn't mind springing for the first Mac.

My 3gs continues to function well after 2.5 years, and is a nice device for others around the house. I still reach for it from time to time - it's really a great device, especially with iOS5.

That said, these are excellent devices for people keen on taking care of them, and not sending them to the landfill until they're truly dead. I'm enjoying the 4s immensely so far. The only thing I'm concerned about are two events where all connectivity was lost, and only seemed to be resolved by restarting the phone.
