No thanks, I'll wait for iPhone 5

This image will continue to increase in size until people start understanding.
Dan, since when do you care about Google's definition of anything? The iPhone 5 is still coming.

Similarly, while some new high end Android phones are now delivering 4 or 5 inch screens, this seems to represent a minority of phones sold. According to metrics maintained by Google, 72 percent of the Android installed base are currently using "normal" sized phones (at least 470x320, but less than 640x480) with "high" dpi (~240dpi), definitions that are pretty loose but correspond to models between the iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4.
So according to Dilger logic the iPhone can't have a larger screen because Android sells a whole heap of BoGo pieces of shit?
I'd love to know since when BoGo pieces of shit have been the bar Apple should aim for.

I'd bet my house if the 4S was available with the current screen size as well as a 4" (almost) edge-to-edge version that the 4" version would sell better.
Well I had an Android, it took two years to add a new update to the family line and less thana year to discontinue it. There were only a few interesting apps many of which did not work on my phone and were poorly made ( well there was one that let me have a button that screamed Khan!!!! every time you hit it, some body make an iOS version please) and since there is no refund system you often feel ripped off.
For that and many other reasons, I think I can be happy with the iPhone 4S.
I wish reviewers would use the camera for more realistic uses in their tests; photos of people, outdoors and indoors.
That would be far more useful than photos of flowers.
(also, San Francisco isn't exactly the best city to show the clarity and sharpness of the new iPhone 4S camera!
)

Pros:
Solid construction and feel
Great battery life
A5 processor delivers lots of speed, little pauses vanish
Siri is an impressive, functional, intuitive new native interface
New 1080p camera improves upon a very good camera
Price competitive with similar smartphones
Huh? Have you guys not been following all these threads with people who are having much worse battery life on the 4S as compared to the 4? My iPhone 4 could make it 1.5-2 days on a full charge with normal usage. With heavy usage, it would still have 15-25% battery at the end of the day. I never had to worry about it dying. My 4S on the other hand can barely make it through the day on a full charge with normal usage. I have literally found myself avoiding using it because I don't want to risk running out of battery before I get home. That's an absurd thing to have do with a brand new phone. Yet, even when I conserve the battery life, I have yet to end a day with the phone above 10% battery remaining.
Could you guys maybe do some battery tests (or at least cite someone else's) before you claim great battery life as one of this handset's pros?

There will not be an iPhone 5 just as there wasn't an iPhone 2.
It will either be an iPhone 6 (highly unlikely for a name even though it will be the sixth iPhone ) or iPhone 4G.
Do we all know how to count here?
In my advanced age, I like the "S" upgrade cycle. Early adoption was more tolerable when I was younger and didn't mind springing for the first Mac.
My 3gs continues to function well after 2.5 years, and is a nice device for others around the house. I still reach for it from time to time - it's really a great device, especially with iOS5.
That said, these are excellent devices for people keen on taking care of them, and not sending them to the landfill until they're truly dead. I'm enjoying the 4s immensely so far. The only thing I'm concerned about are two events where all connectivity was lost, and only seemed to be resolved by restarting the phone.

How about an app that allows a text dump of relevant settings so battery-related complaints or praise can be evaluated? Otherwise, it's just trolling.
