Apolnus has announced a new HomeKit-enabled air purifier that is unique in that it doesn't require replacement filters. The included filters are washable, allowing them to be perpetually cleaned and reducing running costs.

In the aftermath of WWDC, there appears to be a push by Apple to rebrand its smart home platform. Rather than being known as "Apple HomeKit," Apple is recommending developers and manufacturers say "Apple Home." This makes sense as HomeKit was always the framework and lacked any consumer-facing marketing name.

We also talk about connected status lights that could be useful for those working in home offices. BusyBox Sign connects over Bluetooth Low Energy and can tie into HomeKit via Siri Shortcuts to let others know when you're on a call or recording.

Finally, we look at how to use motion to turn off bathroom lights and how to par down errant camera alerts based on a pair of listener questions.
