Crucial X6 SSD now comes in 4TB configuration

Crucial X6 SSD

Crucial is releasing an updated version of its compact external SSD with a 4TB capacity while still coming in below $500.

Joining an ever-crowded market, the Crucial X6 is a 4TB mobile SSD with transfer speeds up to 800MB/s. It also features two-meter drop protection as well as shock, vibration, and extreme-temperature resistance.

The drive includes a 9.5-inch USB-C to USB-C cable in the box and is backed by a three-year warranty.

With the USB-C cable, users can connect directly to recent Macs as well as the new iPad Air and iPad Pro without requiring an adapter.

The new model joins the other two previously-available configurations of 1TB and 2TB with up to 540 MB/s transfer speeds.

You can order the new Crucial X6 4TB SSD from Amazon and B&H Photo for $489.95.
