At CES 2022, Eve Systems had a pair of HomeKit-related announcements including the launch of an all-new security camera as well as immediate availability of its Thread-connected blinds.

In what Eve is touting as the first floodlight cam designed exclusively for Apple HomeKit, the Eve Outdoor Cam aims to help keep your home secure.

Launching April 5, 2022, for $249.95, the Eve Outdoor Cam has a 157-degree field of view and supports infrared night vision and IP55 certification. It relies on infrared motion detection to trigger recordings as well as the integrated floodlight.

As it is designed to work with HomeKit, and only HomeKit, it supports a litany of HomeKit features. There is support for HomeKit Secure Video recording with up to a ten-day history, smart notifications based on subject detection, and two-way communication with the integrated microphone and speaker.

Video capture maxes out at 1080p, 24 frames per second, which is the maximum HomeKit is capable of capturing.

"Combining elegant aesthetics with technology designed to safeguard privacy, Eve Outdoor Cam goes beyond legacy surveillance camera concepts with their conspicuous looks and manufacturer clouds", says Jerome Gackel, CEO, Eve Systems. "Eve Outdoor Cam embodies what Eve stands for: beautiful, connected home products that set the standard for privacy-first smart homes."

MotionBlinds now available

As AppleInsider reported ahead of CES, MotionBlinds from Eve and Coulisse are now available to order.

"As Thread-enabled accessories, Eve MotionBlinds can support Matter, the smart home standard of the future that is currently being developed by Google, Amazon, Apple and numerous loT manufacturers."

Eve MotionBlinds were developed as a collaboration between Eve and Coulisse. They are the first Thread-connected blinds for HomeKit users and install in minutes.
