The Oscars are the biggest media awards of the year, and this time Apple TV+ films stand a chance of winning some major prizes. Here's how to watch the 94th Academy Awards from the comfort of your sofa.

The Academy Awards on Sunday will be a high-stakes event for Apple, as a pair of its films are up for awards. Both "CODA" and "The Tragedy of Macbeth" are up for three, with the former up for the big prize of Best Picture.

If you want to see the awards live, instead of watching clips on social media or news articles detailing the winners, you will have to tune in. Here's what you need to know.

United States

The awards ceremony officially starts at 8 P.M. Eastern, 5 P.M. Pacific, and will be broadcast on ABC in the United States.

If you want to watch it from your Apple TV, iPhone, iPad, or other device, you can take advantage of various streaming services that carry ABC. This includes Hulu's Live TV offering and YouTube TV, among others.

ABC also operates its own app and streams via its website, though you will have to authenticate your TV provider to gain access.

If you cannot watch the show live, it will be available to view on-demand via streaming services sometime after the ceremony ends.

International Viewing

The Oscars ceremony is being broadcast in over 200 territories around the world. However, due to licensing, the broadcaster or streaming service will vary between countries.

While it is advised to check local broadcasters and streaming services to see if they carry the presentation, the Academy has published an abridged list of countries and broadcasters.

In Canada, it will be broadcast via CTV. In the UK, it will be via Sky's various platforms. French viewers will have to watch Canal+, whereas Germany's broadcast is via ProSieben.

In most cases, broadcasters provide a streaming app to use, so you should still be able to watch the stream on your devices instead of the normal broadcast.
