Apple TV+ shares the first trailer for 'Five Days at Memorial'

'Five Days at Memorial' begins streaming on August 12

The first trailer for "Five Days at Memorial" shows how Hurricane Katrina was just the beginning of the horrors people faced at Memorial Medical Center, coming to Apple TV+ on August 12.

Based on actual events,"Five Days at Memorial" is a drama series adapted from a book by Pulitzer Prize-winning journalist Sheri Fink. It tells the story of how Hurricane Katrina impacted the people at Memorial Medical Center in the days following the storm.

As floodwaters rose and resources depleted, employees at the hospital were faced with unimaginable decisions, which would follow them for years to come. The trailer shows how an investigation from the Attorney General uncovers the mystery behind 45 dead bodies found in the hospital.

The series stars Vera Farmiga, Cherry Jones, Robert Pine, Cornelius Smith Jr., Julie Ann Emery, and Adepero Oduye. It is executive produced and written by Carlton Cuse and John Ridley.

Subscribers can watch the first three episodes of the eight-part series on August 12. Customers can subscribe for $4.99 per month or via any tier of the Apple One subscription bundle.
