Super Bowl Halftime Show sponsored by Apple Music

Following the news that Apple Music is to sponsor the Super Bowl halftime show, Apple's music streaming app has added some dedicated playlists showcasing celebrated performers from the game's history.

Replacing long-time sponsor Pepsi, Apple Music has signed a multi-year deal to sponsor the Super Bowl Halftime Show. Since the announcement by the NFL, Apple has now added to its Browse section with music related to the Super Bowl.

Super Bowl Music

Apple Music has added two Super Bowl playlists, one that highlights past performers and another with upbeat anthems.

  • Halftime Headliners: Past performers here include Lady Gaga, Katy Perry, Beyonce, Prince, Michael Jackson, and others.
  • Stadium Anthems: This playlist encourages fans to stomp, clap, scream, shout, and sing as they anticipate Super Bowl LVII. It includes music from The White Stripes, Ozzy Osbourne, Quiet Riot, Survivor, and others.

There's also a series of more generic playlists with names like "Football," "The Big Game," and "Game Day."

Then Apple Music Essentials, which has always presented the best of major artists, have been further curated to highlight those musicians and singers who have been associated with the Super Bowl. They include Michael Jackson, Prince, and Diana Ross, to U2, Britney Spears, and Christina Aquilera.

Under "Latin Takes It Down the Field," artists include Jennifer Lopez, Shakira, and J Balvin, while "Pop Interception" highlights Lady Gaga, The Weeknd, and Janet Jackson.

Super Bowl LVII will be held in Arizona at State Farm Stadium on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
