High-end earphone company Audeze this week announced a new addition to its growing product with the iSine 10 Black/Steel Edition, a custom version of its over-the-top in-ear planar magnetic headphones made exclusively for Apple.
Almost everything about Audeze's iSine 10 headphones is audacious: the technology, the ambition, the appearance, and the sound itself. On paper they shouldn't work, but in practice they are some of the best sounding compact in-ear headphones money can buy.
Just in time for the release of the headphone-jack-less iPhone 7, Audeze gave AppleInsider a hands-on sneak peek at their upcoming Lightning-connected iSine headphones, the word's first-ever planar magnetic in-ear buds.
Audeze is one of only a handful of manufacturers to produce headphones with planar magnetic drivers, a technology promising higher fidelity sound and less distortion than traditional — and cheaper — dynamic cans. AppleInsider was able to take an extended look at the company's latest on-ear offering, Sine.
