Those who walk, hike, run, or complete a wheelchair workout of at least three miles on August 25th can earn a unique, hiking-based award in the latest Apple Watch Activity Challenge celebrating the Grand Canyon's 100th anniversary.
Apple is opening its bug bounty program to cover all of its operating systems, with the company expanding and improving the scheme to pay researchers for finding bugs in macOS, watchOS, tvOS, iPadOS, and iCloud, along with the current payouts for iOS issues. Also new are special iPhones that will help select researchers surface vulnerabilities.
Apple is now on its sixth round of developer betas for the current-generation operating systems, offering up a sixth build of iOS 12.4 alongside a fifth build of watchOS 5.3, and a fourth build of macOS 10.14.6.
Apple is now on its third cycle of developer betas for its milestone operating system releases, with new builds of iOS 13, iPadOS 13, watchOS 6, tvOS 13, and macOS 10.15 Catalina now available for testing by program participants.
Coinciding with the provision of public beta versions of its milestone operating systems to users, Apple has started to send AppleSeed invitations to users for watchOS 6, giving the company another way to collect feedback before publicly releasing the final version to users.

When watchOS 6 launches this fall users will be able to delete default first-party apps, including dedicated software designed specifically for Apple Watch, to free up space on the diminutive device's home screen.
