This afternoon, Apple provided developers with alpha 1 of QuickTime Java 6.1 According to sources, \"the release provides QTJava developers with a new version of QTJava that works on both JDK 1.3 and JDK 1.4.1 on Mac OS X.\"
The intent of this release is to provide a minimal set of functionality across all platforms. This is achieved with the introduction of a new quicktime.app.view package, as well as additions to other packages and deprecations of some existing packages.
