Apple has been preparing a set of G5-based XServes for mass-markets. According to sources, the units were being delayed until the release of Mac OS X 10.3 Panther Server.
With Panther Server reaching the Gold Master status last week, sources -- citing Apple Marketing -- claim that a release is now imminent. Additionally, an unconfirmed report projects a possible announcement this week, though AppleInsider sources could not provide any confirmation at this time.
