At least three new Apple Stores will open in time for the debut of Apple Watch on April 24, including officially-announced locations in Miami Beach, Fla. and Sao Paolo, Brazil.
The Miami Beach outlet is actually a relocation of the company's existing Lincoln Road store. Apple is moving to a larger building at 1021 Lincoln Road, further down in the same shopping district between Lenox Avenue and Michigan Avenue. To promote the opening Apple has commissioned HENSE, an artist known for mixing street and abstract styles, to paint a mural. His work is currently ongoing and should be finished by April 12.
The shop will launch on April 24, and operate from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m. most days, only shortening those hours from noon to 10 p.m. on Sundays.
The Sao Paolo store will be Apple's second in Brazil, following last year's debut of a Rio de Janeiro location. The new shop is situated in the Morumbi shopping center in Sao Paolo's Vila Gertrudes, and will actually open a few days before the Watch launch, on April 18. Hours will run 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. most of the week and 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
Earlier this week, Apple revealed that a shop in Hangzhou, China is also scheduled to open its doors in the MixC mall on the 24th, surrounded by luxury brands like Prada and Louis Vuitton.
The Sao Paolo opening is likely coincidental, since Brazil will not be one of the launch countries for the Watch. Initial launch regions will include Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Hong Kong, Japan, the US, and the UK. Brazil will, however, probably get the device in a subsequent rollout later in 2015.
