Sprint starts sales of LTE iPad Pro with contract & installment options

Sprint on Monday opened up its own orders for the iPad Pro, offering shoppers alternatives for buying the tablet including contract and installment plans.

The carrier is selling only the 128-gigabyte LTE model, priced at $1,079.99 without strings attached, or $979.99 with a two-year data contract. People who choose to go through Sprint Easy Pay must instead fork over a $200 down payment, followed by 24 monthly payments of $36.67.

Individual data plans range from $10 per month for 100 megabytes through to $110 for 30 gigabytes. A $15 plan, though, includes 1 gigabyte.

The Pro also qualifies for the terms of Sprint's Family Share Packs, which let users add a tablet for $10 a month, and/or waive monthly access charges for up to four lines under 10- and 40-gigabyte bundles. Charges are only waived however if the tablet represents a new line of service and it's bought full-price or through Easy Pay.

Apple launched the iPad Pro less than two weeks ago. Supplies are still relatively tight at the company's online store, with delivery estimates extending into early December.
