Accessory maker Belkin has partnered with Apple to bring its ScreenCare+ Application System to the iPhone maker's retail stores in America, allowing customers to have a screen protector professionally installed.
Belkin's official website revealed on Tuesday that the ScreenCare+ Application System is now available at U.S. Apple Stores. Customers can now have a screen protector applied to their iPhone by an Apple specialist using Belkin's system.
The system is designed to work with Belkin's two leading screen protectors for iPhone: InvisiGlass and Anti-Glare. Both products have been designed for iPhone 6, iPhone 6s, and each's larger Plus variants.
Belkin's InvisiGlass is flexible glass that can absorb the shock of impact without breaking. And its Anti-Glare product is a scratch-resistant material that enhances visibility by reducing glare from bright sunlight and artificial lighting.
Belkin InvisiGlass is priced at $34.95, while Anti-Glare costs $17.95. The cost of installation is included with both products.
The screen protector installation service debuted at Apple Stores in Japan last week, using Belkin's TrueClear Pro machines.
Belkin's installation setup is basically a plastic clamshell case with alignment guides cut specifically for iPhone 6/6s and 6/6s Plus handsets. An Apple employee situates an iPhone on one side of the machine and the protector on the other. Closing the device brings both pieces together, at which time the protector's wrapping can be removed to expose the product's adhesive layer, consequently bonding it to an iPhone's screen.
