A redesigned Apple developer portal went live on Thursday, bringing with it a refreshed user interface reminiscent of recent company webpage updates like last year's iTunes Connect revamp.
As seen in the screenshot above, the redesigned developer center boasts a streamlined landing page with large interactive links for commonly used assets like team member invitations, app management tools and a direct link to iTunes Connect. It seems Apple is applying the refreshed "flat" design in stages, as some developer resource webpages, like Certificates, Identifiers and Profiles, sport older three-dimensional graphics.
Site navigation has also been revamped and includes a persistent sidebar containing Program Resources including Membership, People, Certificates, IDs & Profiles, iTunes Connect, CloudKit Dashboard and Code-Level Support. Of those pages, Overview, Membership, People and Code-Level Support feature seamless integration with the new design.
A separate "Additional Resources" category furnishes links to Documentation, Forums, Bug Reporter and News & Updates.
Today's redesign borrows from last year's iTunes Connect revamp, which introduced a similar two-dimensional layout alongside new features like a tool for scheduling automatic app release dates. The developer portal refresh, however, does not include any significant feature additions.
