In an attempt to make working within the Adobe Ecosystem even easier, Adobe has updated Creative Cloud, now allowing users to share assets across even more Adobe applications.
Libraries allow designers and teams to easily manage assets in one space. Designed to increase efficiency of team workflow, Creative Cloud Libraries allows quick access to assets to maintain brand and visual consistency.
Adobe's asset management system, Creative Cloud Libraries, has received some significant updates to allow even easier sharing across a wider swath of programs.
Full integration with Adobe XD
now features full integration with Libraries, resulting in easier UX workflows from concept to development.
The expanded libraries give designers the ability to place elements created within Adobe XD into other applications, such as Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign. It also allows users to leverage assets created in other applications to be used directly in XD.
Manage Libraries within the Creative Cloud desktop app
Designers can now manage their Creative Cloud Libraries directly from the Creative Cloud desktop app. Previously, these libraries could only be managed through the library panel in individual Adobe programs or the Creative Cloud web app.
The update allows users to view and reorganize content easily with a wider workspace canvas.
Libraries has also received a storage increase, allowing users to store up to 10,000 design elements in each library -- up from the previous limit of 1,000.
Expanded support for Gradients
Creative Cloud Libraries can now store gradients for use within Adobe Photoshop, Adobe XD, and Adobe Capture. This saves time over the old method, where designers would have to manually recreate gradients in each individual program.
Creative Cloud Libraries supported in select Microsoft Office apps
Announced in late October,Libraries now work within Microsoft Word and PowerPoint. This allows users to build on-brand documentation and presentation quickly and easily.
