Arriving one day after Apple released beta versions of iOS, macOS, and tvOS, the company has released a new build of watchOS 6.2 for download and testing.
Builds of the operating systems provided as part of the developer beta program can be downloaded from the Apple Developer Center website, or as an over-the-air update to devices already enrolled into the scheme. Public beta counterparts typically arrive shortly after the developer variants, and can be picked up from the Apple Beta Software Program website.
The fifth watchOS 6.2 developer build appears one day after the release of the other four developer and public beta builds of this current cycle: iOS 13.4, iPadOS 13.4, tvOS 13.4, and macOS 10.15.4. Previously, watchOS arrived alongside the others on February 26 for the third build, February 19 for the second, and February 5 for the first.
Both AppleInsider and Apple itself strongly recommend users don't install the betas on to "mission-critical" or primary devices, as there is the remote possibility of data loss or other issues. Instead, testers should install betas onto secondary or non-essential devices, and to make sure there are sufficient backups of important data before updating.
