Apple updates Final Cut Pro and iMovie to support faster exporting

Apple has rolled out updates for both Final Cut Pro and iMovie, notably improving HEVC and H.264 file export performance for its high-end Apple Silicon machines.

Apple rolls out iMovie 10.4 and Final Cut Pro 10.7 updates

Final Cut Pro has been updated to version 10.7 as of Thursday, and received a number of updates to improve user experience and program performance.

According to its entry on the App Store, Final Cut Pro 10.7 now has the following enhancements:

Apple's free video editor, iMovie, also received an update, now bringing it to version 10.4. According to the iMovie App Store page, users can also export HEVC and H.264 faster. However, like the Final Cut Pro update, it requires macOS Sonoma and a Mac with Apple M1 Max, M1 Ultra, M2 Max, M2 Ultra, or M3 Max.
