Mac OS X Real Player Nears Completion

Recently, an anonymous source confirmed the existence of a Mac OS X native version of Real Media's Real Player media software. According to the source, the project is codenamed \"Blackbeard\" and sports a sports a \"crazy looking pirate\" images as its mascot.

There is apparently much demand for a Mac OS X version of the player and lots of support from within the company. \"Here at Real, there's huge demand for a Mac player, we've got a lot of Macs, there's a vocal group of users that's always asking about the Mac player at company meetings,\" claims a company insider. \"I've used the player. It's coming right along.\"

Real Media representatives would not confirm or deny the Blackbeard project. The software is due out in the coming months.
