Need a handy reminder to watch Apple's upcoming WWDC keynote? You can now schedule an automated alert to arrive via Twitter before the event next Monday simply by retweeting a post Apple promoted on the microblogging service.
On Thursday, Apple's official Twitter account issued a promoted tweet publicizing its developer conference keynote, which will be live streamed from San Jose's McEnery Convention Center on Monday starting at 10 a.m. Pacific. Retweeting the message tags your account to receive a reply when the event is about to kick off.
"June 4 at 10 a.m. PDT. Join the @Apple WWDC keynote! Retweet and we'll send you a reminder on event day," the promoted tweet reads. For wider visibility, the post is appended with the hashtag "#WWDC18."
Accompanying the text is a short video showing an animated version of this year's WWDC artwork. Different user interface elements, rendered in three dimensions, pop into frame next to a large WWDC logo. The same promotional images are being used to decorate McEnery's main building.
June 4 at 10 a.m. PDT.

The follow-up tweet includes a short animation of an iOS-esque toggle switch being enabled.
If the system works anything like last year's tweet-for-notification setup for the September iPhone event, an alert with a link to Apple's keynote livestream will be served to all users who retweeted Thursday's post.
Monday's keynote is where Apple is expected to introduce their latest software updates and maybe more. Previous rumblings hinted at refreshes to Apple's MacBook lineup and perhaps new iPads, but a report on Thursday threw cold water on those rumors.
AppleInsider will be on the ground at WWDC 2018 next week offering live coverage of the keynote event and ensuing presentations. Make sure to follow us on Twitter @appleinsider and Facebook for the latest news.
