Amping publicity for the iPhone XS and Apple Watch Series 4, Apple took to the Web on Friday with photos of launch events in several cities, as well as a unique mobile site featuring 3D models of the iPhone XS and XS Max.
Early photos shared by Apple come from the Orchard Road store in Singapore, Japan's Apple Kyoto, and Australia's Apple Sydney. Thanks to timezones the countries were some of the first to sell the new hardware.
As in past years, Apple is promising to share photos from additional launches as the day goes on.
The minisite, experience.apple/iphone/, can only be viewed in the mobile versions of Chrome or Safari, but lets people rotate the models by tilting their phone, and switch between them with a swipe. The graphics are accompanied by feature bulletpoints, as well as options to change the color of the phones.
The site reinforces Apple's emphasis on the looks of its new iPhones, as seen in things like its "Illusion" TV ad. The XS line is available in a new gold shade, cementing it as a luxury product and status symbol.
