A new video from Apple highlights how people have managed to keep creating during the COVID-19 pandemic, and a second release has launched a new "Today at Home" program to inspire creativity in others.
The minute-and-a-half long video shows the methods creatives have used to pursue their creative endeavors despite stay-at-home directives issued during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
The video description reads, "We have always believed deeply in the power of creativity. Now, more than ever, we're inspired by people in every corner of the world finding new ways to share their creativity, ingenuity, humanity, and hope."
In the video, students, artists, dancers, music teachers, and celebrities show how they are using Apple products, such as the iPad and the MacBook Pro to continue on their creative endeavors. It shows them drawing, dancing, reading stories, and sharing moments with loved ones across a distance.
Apple has also launched a new "Today At Apple" program, though you won't need to head to a store to join in. The program, dubbed "Today at Home" features three short videos to help jumpstart your creativity. "Today At Home" is lead by creative professionals from Apple Stores across the globe.
The first, called "Draw playful portraits with iPad" features Harriet, from Apple Regent Street in London. She takes you through the process of customizing a photograph with doodles by using the built-in Photo app image editor.
The second, dubbed "Capture striking photography with iPhone," is taught by Cameron from Apple Orchard Road in Singapore. He shows how to use features of your home to create compelling architectural photography.
Adrian from Apple Third Street Promenade in Santa Monica heads up the third class, "Shoot photos full of personality with iPhone." This class is focused on showing how you can up your portrait photography game through scene staging and utilizing the iPhone's Portrait feature.
AppleInsider has also curated a list of activities, apps, and free things to do during the coronavirus outbreak, including links to free photography classes, free trials of creative software, and games to play while you practice safe social hygiene.
