Eddy Cue has been appointed to the board of trustees at Duke University, North Carolina, where he received his bachelor's degree in computer science and economics.
Eddy Cue doesn't get passionate at Duke games, no. Source: The Chronicle Following his joining the board of Tom Brady's NFT platform, Eddy Cue is now a trustee of Duke University. Apple's senior vice president of Internet Software and Services, has been appointed to a six-year term.
"As the university's governing body, the Board of Trustees is responsible for the school's educational mission and fiscal policies," said the university in a statement.
"[Cue] has returned to Duke many times to assist students in technology fields," continues the statement, "and in 2017 he spoke to the Duke Technology Scholars, an effort to inspire more Duke women undergraduates to choose careers in computer science and electrical and computer engineering."
Eddy Cue oversees a huge swathe of Apple, including iCloud, Apple Pay, Apple Maps, Apple Music, and Apple TV+. He has previously been accused of being overextended, with his duties also extending to apps such as iMovie and GarageBand.
He earned a Bachelor's degree from Duke in 1986, and his sons have also graduated from the university. He's also famously a Duke basketball fan.
