The major earthquake's epicenter was approximately 13 kilometers (8 miles) away from Saint-Louis Du Sud, according to the USGS, and at a depth of 10km. The magnitude 7.2 quake was felt in the capital Port-au-Prince, some 150km (93 miles) away.
As of Sunday morning, authorities in the region say at least 304 people have died, and at least 1,800 people have been injured, reports Sky News. Prime Minister Ariel Henry has declared a one-month state of emergency, after the earthquake caused "enormous damage" and "completely razed" some towns.
On Sunday morning, Apple CEO Tim Cook tweeted to his personal account that Apple would be assisting with aid efforts following the event. "Apple will be donating to assist relief and recovery efforts in the affected communities," wrote the CEO.
Our hearts are with all those in Haiti who are once again facing the consequences of a devastating earthquake. Apple will be donating to assist relief and recovery efforts in the affected communities.

"Our hearts are with all those in Haiti who are again facing the consequences of a devastating earthquake," Cook mentions, referencing the country's 2010 earthquake. At that time, Apple assisted aid efforts by accepting relief donations through iTunes.
