Following the impact of Hurricane Ida on Louisiana, Apple's Tim Cook has taken to Twitter to express his reaction, plus the company's intention to help.
As with Cook's previous announcements of similar donations, there are no further details either of amounts or of exactly how the money will be disbursed.
Our thoughts are with everyone in Hurricane Ida's path, especially those sheltering in Louisiana, and we're grateful for the first responders who are helping keep communities safe. Apple will be donating to relief and recovery efforts on the ground.

Recently, Apple did say that it was donating its entire share of earnings from the "John Lewis: Good Trouble" documentary. The donation is being made to the National Civil Rights Museum and National Museum of African American History and Culture.
In April 2020, Apple did specify that it was donating $10 million to support the World Health Organization's coronavirus fundraiser.
