Peru's Interbank appeared to be the latest bank to support Apple Pay -- before it pulled all signs of the announcement.

Following its launch in Azerbaijan, Colombia, and Costa Rica, in November 2021, Apple Pay was announced as being available to certain users in Peru. Eight years after Apple Pay launched in the US, the country's Interbank had officially announced initial support for it.
"Use your Interbank Visa Cards with Apple Pay and pay securely. Know the benefits!" said the bank's site (in translation), before being removed. "Pay easily and quickly just by bringing your iPhone or Apple Watch closer to the POS [Point of Sale equipment]."
At the same time, two videos promoting Interbank's Apple Pay support, and detailing how to use it, have been removed from the site and from YouTube.
Interbank is Peru's second largest consumer bank, with a reported 270 branches across the country.
