Apple TV+ has announced a "changemakers initiative" where it and noted educators, will create "enriching" series for children.
Apple TV+ has already launched many children's and educational series, plus it has worked to produce innovative shows such as "El Deafo." Now it plans to go further, and specifically to do so in partnership with people it describes as "world renowned education leaders."
"As we continue to expand our slate and partner with today's world class storytellers," said Tara Sorensen, Apple's head of kids programming, in a press release, "we are so inspired by our collaboration with an exceptional group of changemakers who are passionate about giving kids the tools they need to leave the world a better place than they found it."
Apple gives as one example, that its award-winning "Stillwater" was created in collaboration with "changemaker Mallika Chopra, author and CEO of Chopra Global, a health company at the intersection of science and spirituality."
Among the changemakers announced by Apple, are lecturers and professors from Northwestern University, the Harvard Graduate School of Education, and UCLA's Mindful Awareness Center.
