New Hue devices, iOS beta issues, & more on HomeKit Insider

By Andrew O'Hara

Philips Hue has a massive product launch and we break down all the new products, plus cover iOS 16 beta issues on this week's episode of the HomeKit Insider podcast

HomeKit Insider

Signify is the steward of the Philips Hue line of products. The company had the biggest HomeKit news of the week, and announced a wide-ranging array of products that are fully compatible with HomeKit.

There is a new portable lamp that can be carried indoors as well as outdoors and boasts an IP44 rating against a light rain. It recharges on its own included base and has a silicone grip in the center to better hold it.

It also revealed a new set of track lighting. The tracks come in multiple sizes and have right-angle components well. They can be mounted on the ceiling or on the wall with many pendants, spots, or other lights attached.

There were smaller updates in the announcement as well including an updated version of the Hue Tap switch and more powerful down can lights.

During the rest of the show, we chat about some new headphones, some issues plaguing iOS 16 beta users, and Andrew shows off his new Eve Aqua watering system.
