Eve Systems has an array of new smart home announcements at the 2023 Consumer Electronics Show including expanded Matter support and new motorized blind options.

After rolling out optional firmware updates for Matter in December, 2022, Eve has announced that its first Matter-certified products will hit store shelves at the end of Q1 2023.

Eve Door & Window, Eve Motion, and Eve Energy will be available directly through Eve as well as Amazon and will be fully Matter certified out of the box without the need for a post-release firmware update.

"A fast-mover on Matter, Eve was among the first to offer free over-the-air Matter updates for existing devices," says Jerome Gackel, CEO of Eve Systems. "Now, Eve will be one of the first to offer Matter right out of the box, delivering on the new standard's promise to finally bring simplicity, reliability, interoperability and security to your smart home."

Also in late Q1, Eve will roll out updates to its original MotionBlinds to bring support for Matter. They've already completed certification and will be updated over-the-air.

In terms of new products, Eve will be releasing a new upgrade kit for users with existing roller blinds and a new motorized option for both Honeycomb and Venetian blinds.

The MotionBlinds roller Upgrade Kit will launch March 28 for $199.95 from Evehome.com.
