GoDaddy mobile app on iPhone
On Monday, GoDaddy announced the release of its new GoDaddy mobile app, which allows U.S.-based businesses to accept contactless payments with an iPhone.
Transactions are powered by GoDaddy Payments, which have a 2.3% + 0 cents per transaction fee, which GoDaddy claims saves small businesses 20% on card processing compared to other providers.
To get started, users will need to sign into the GoDaddy mobile app and can begin accepting payments in a matter of minutes. GoDaddy Payments can be deposited as early as the next day. Users will also need to use an iPhone running iOS 14.1 or later.
Apple first announced Tap to Pay in February 2022.
Square, known for their iPhone and iPad-compatible dongles and sales terminals, rolled out support for Tap to Pay in September.
