iOS 17 accessibility features with Personal Voice, 'AI' and Siri at WWDC, iCloud wishlist

By Wesley Hilliard

Hear about iOS 17's new accessibility features, the WWDC "special activity," and the iCloud Drive woes that led your host to wipe his MacBook Pro on the AppleInsider Podcast.

iOS 17 includes some interesting accessibility features

Apple pre-announced a few features before WWDC in June. Your hosts discuss the new accessibility features like Personal Voice and what they mean for the future of Apple software.

Wesley shares his hopes for a new app that combines redundant features like Phone, FaceTime, and Contacts. While these concepts are fantastical, Stephen agrees that Apple is positioned to disrupt how people interact on Apple platforms.

WWDC is closing in, and in-person attendees have received their schedules. Some seem to believe a "special activity" scheduled for the evening after the keynote relates to a VR hands-on event, but that seems like a stretch.

Your hosts close out the podcast by discussing Stephen's recent adventure in iCloud document management. It seems to be rather difficult to specify exactly what files should be local on a device, which leads Stephen to completely erase his Mac.
