Apple's Beats by Dr Dre has revealed a special edition made in collaboration with Japan's Fragment Design, with a black and a white version.

Beats has collaborated with Fragment Design before, and the Japanese firm's lead designer has announced the latest device. It will be available on Apple's online store, plus what are described as selected retailers, from July 7, 2023.
"I am excited to bring this third collaboration with Beats to life," said Fragment Design's Hiroshi Fujiwara in a statement to Hypebeast. "This classic design is an elevated take on an already dynamic product."
The new special edition is a monochromatic one, available in either Pure White with black markings, or Ink Black with white ones. They will retail for $199.99, and a monochrome ad starring US tennis player Frances Tiafoe. has been released by Apple.
This special edition follows the release earlier in 2023 of Beats Fit Pro in new colors. Pricing is expected to be $199.
Tuesday's announcement is also in advance of the long-rumored. Beats Studio Pro. Beats Studio Pro will support Apple's Find My, have spatial audio, and also upgraded "voice targeting microphones." They are also expected to come in a new carrying case and feature "optimized sound profiles that are called Beat Signature Entertainment and Conversation."
Previous rumors have backed up the claim that the new headphones will feature active noise cancellation, but those also said there would be a transparency mode, similar to that on the AirPods Pro. Hurley says that his source implies there won't be any transparency option, however.
The existence of the forthcoming Beats Studio Pro was also revealed in code references in a macOS beta in May 2023.
