Apple TV+ has a lot of content coming in 2024

For the rest of 2024, Apple TV+ has unveiled a robust lineup of highly anticipated new series, such as "The New Look" and "Manhunt," alongside returning favorites like "Acapulco" and "Fraggle Rock: Return to the Rock."

On Monday, Apple TV+ announced all the shows it will release to the streaming platform in 2024, including both new and returning shows. The company also released a short trailer giving viewers a sneak peek at this year's programming.

"The New Look" - February 14

Set during the Nazi occupation of Paris in World War II, "The New Look" is a story about Christian Dior's groundbreaking imprint on beauty and fashion. Dior's success puts Chanel's reign as the world's most famous fashion designer in jeopardy. The story follows Dior's contemporaries and rivals and the clothing created by Dior through collaboration with the House of Dior. The cast includes Maisie Williams, John Malkovich, Emily Mortimer, Claes Bang, and Glenn Close.

"The Dynasty: New England Patriots" - February 16

The upcoming docuseries offers exclusive access to interviews with Kraft, Belichick, and Brady, and insights from past and present players, coaches, executives, league officials, and journalists. It explores the Patriots' 20-year journey, from six Super Bowl wins to internal strife. The series gives an insider's look at the road to greatness, from the owner's suite to the locker room.

"Snoopy Presents: Welcome Home, Franklin" - February 16

The origin story of beloved Peanut's character, Franklin, explains how he makes new friends. Franklin moves frequently due to his father's military job but finds solace in his grandfather's notebook filled with timeless advice. Struggling to fit in with the Peanuts gang, Franklin discovers the neighborhood Soap Box Derby race. He teams up with Charlie Brown to build a great car and an even greater friendship.

"Constellation" - February 21

"Constellation" is an eight-part conspiracy-based psychological thriller Jo, an astronaut, as she returns to Earth after a disaster in space. The series delves into the darker aspects of human psychology and showcases a woman's quest to unravel the truth about the hidden history of space travel. She is determined to recover everything she lost during her journey in space.

"Messi's World Cup: The Rise of a Legend" - February 21

"Messi's World Cup: The Rise of a Legend" is a docuseries highlighting the story of Lionel Messi, the world's top living athlete. It features personal interviews with Messi, his teammates, coaches, competitors, devout fans, and commentators.

The series tracks the dramatic path of Messi's career, from his first match with the Argentine national football team to his comeback to win the FIFA World Cup in 2022, where he was crowned the tournament's best player.

"The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin" - March 1

In "The Completely Made-Up Adventures of Dick Turpin," the story follows Turpin as he leads a group of outlaws, outwitting lawman Jonathan Wilde. Set in the 18th century, Turpin is an unlikely highway robber known for his charm and showmanship. Along with his gang, he experiences ups and downs including a brush with celebrity while trying to avoid capture.

"Manhunt" - March 15

Based on James Swanson's 2007 non-fiction book, "Manhunt" charts the 12 day search for Booth as he fled Washington for the forests of Virginia. The book is actually an hour by hour reconstruction of the hunt, with details taken from trial records and rare archive material.

"Palm Royale" - March 20

"Palm Royale" is a tale of underdog Maxine Simmons, who fights to join Palm Beach's high society in 1969. Apple TV+ describes the series as "a testament to every outsider fighting for their chance to truly belong."

"Sugar" - April 5

"Sugar" is a unique twist on classic the private detective story. The story follows John Sugar, who is an American private investigator. He is investigating the mysterious disappearance of Olivia Siegel, the beloved granddaughter of a legendary Hollywood producer, Jonathan Siegel. As Sugar tries to unravel the truth about Olivia's disappearance, he uncovers some long-buried family secrets of the Siegel family.

"Girls State" - April 5

"Girls State" is a documentary directed by Jesse Moss and Amanda McBaine and produced by Davis Guggenheim's Concordia Studio. It follows 500 teenage girls from Missouri who gather for a week-long program to build a government, run for office, and create a Supreme Court.

The story follows a distinctly female perspective, showcasing teenage insecurities, humor, and a desire for genuine friendship, as young leaders win hearts and minds.

"Franklin" - April 12

"Franklin" is a show based on Stacy Schiff's book about Benjamin Franklin's journey during the American Revolution. In December 1776, Franklin, already famous for his electrical experiments, went on a secret mission to France to seek support for American independence. Despite being 70 years old and having no diplomatic training, he convinces the monarchy to support America's democracy experiment.

A story about the road not taken, "Dark Matter," follows Jason Dessen, a physicist who is abducted into an alternate version of his own life. Dessen must fight through mind-bending realities to regain his life from the most harrowing foe he could imagine: himself.

"Presumed Innocent" - June 14

"Presumed Innocent" is an eight-episode limited series that is based on the bestselling novel by Scott Turow. The series follows the story of a murder case that shakes the Chicago Prosecuting Attorney's office, as one of its own is suspected of the crime. As the accused tries to hold his family and marriage together, the series touches on themes of obsession, sex, politics, and the power and limits of love.

"Land of Women" - Summer 2024

"Land of Women" is a story about a woman named Gala, who resides in New York. One day, her life takes an unexpected turn when her husband is implicated in financial improprieties. As a result, she, her aging mother, and her college-aged daughter are forced to leave the city to protect themselves from the criminals to whom her husband is indebted. They hide in a charming wine town in northern Spain, where Gala's mother left 50 years ago, promising never to return.

The women hope to start over in this town and keep their identities a secret. However, gossip soon spreads around the small town, unraveling their family secrets and truths.
