iPhone 16 reviews, photography, and battery life on the AppleInsider Podcast

By William Gallagher

Now we have the iPhone 16 range in our hands, opinion is split over whether this is a boring or a useful upgrade, but at least it's certain that the cameras are better and so is battery life.

It's true that the new iPhone 16 range has improved battery life

This does seem to be a year when the most marked changes to the iPhone range have been in the regular iPhones instead of the iPhone 16 Pro. But host Wesley Hilliard disagrees vehemently with the "boring" criticism and William Gallagher is finding enough changes to be happy that he spent all that money.

Key to both of your hosts, in rather different ways, is how the new iPhones work with still and video photography. Again, the regular iPhones have seen some long-awaited updates in this area, but the iPhone 16 Pro Max is still the best.

Plus there's seeing just how excellent the battery life in these new models really is in use. And there's also when fast-charging is worth buying a new device -- or at least a new plug.
