In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Verizon on Wednesday said it would add 15GB of free data to consumer plans for use during the month of May.
Verizon is giving consumer and small business customers an additional 15GB of data in May.
As part of its response to the coronavirus crisis, Verizon first gave consumer and small business customers an extra 15GB of data between March 25 and April 30. Now, the company is doing the same thing for May.
No action is needed to get the additional 15GB allotment -- it'll show up on consumer and small business accounts automatically. The free grant applies to data plans, hotspots and jetpacks, Verizon said.
"Verizon continues to support customers who may find themselves needing additional data in order to learn, work or keep connected during this challenging time," the company wrote in an update to a blog post outlining its coronavirus response efforts Wednesday.
It also appears that the telecom is continuing to wave overage and late fees, as well as offering up to two months of free internet and voice service for Lifeline customers.
