Apple TV+ is launching new discussion series "The Oprah Conversation," in partnership with Oprah Winfrey on Thursday.
Credit: Apple TV+ "The Oprah Conversation," as the show will be called, will feature the talk show host and Apple TV+ partner "lead timely and intimate discussions with today's foremost newsmakers, thought leaders, and masters of their craft."
In a news release, Apple said that the series will be filmed remotely during the coronavirus pandemic but will incorporate "audience engagement."
The first episode of the discussion series, titled "How to Be an Antiracist," will feature author Ibram X and is set to debut for free on Apple TV+ at 4 p.m. Pacific (7 p.m. Eastern) on Thursday, July 30.
The series will continue with a two-part interview with athlete and activist Emmanuel Acho on August 7 and a conversation with author Bryan Stevenson that will debut later on.
Oprah originally signed a multi-year deal for content with Apple back in 2018, and was one of the most prominent onstage guests during the Apple TV+ keynote debut.
"The Oprah Conversation" joins existing shows featuring the talk show host on Apple TV, including "Oprah Talks COVID-19" and "Oprah's Book Club."
