"For All Mankind," "Servant," and "Amazing Stories" are nominated for Saturn Awards, the first time Apple TV+ has been eligible for the science fiction ceremony.
For All Mankind
Following its Golden Globe success with "Ted Lasso," Apple TV+ continues to receive recognition in awards nominations. The 46th Annual Saturn Awards have announced that three of the streaming service's series are in contention for its television categories.
"For All Mankind," is nominated in the Best Fantasy Television Series category. It will compete against shows including "Outlander," "The Twilight Zone," and "The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance."
Similarly, "Amazing Stories" will compete against "The Mandalorian," "His Dark Materials," and, perhaps oddly, also "Perry Mason" for Best Television Presentation (Under 10 Episodes).
Lastly, "Servant" is nominated in the Best Horror Television Series category, opposite such dramas as "The Walking Dead," and "Creepshow."
This year's list of nominees is extensive, with approximately 286 nominations across more than 40 categories. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the awards are effectively for two years. Eligible shows or films must have been released or aired between July 15, 2019 and November 15, 2020.
Also because of the coronavirus, the Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy and Horror Films has not set a date for the awards beyond later in 2021.
