Hours ahead of the WWDC 2021 keynote, Apple has updated all of the photographs on its Executive Profiles webpage to show Memoji representations of the senior staff.
An early Monday update to the Apple website, the Executive Profiles page shows the list of current top executives at the company, with all 17 photographs altered to show just the Memoji head on a dark background. Clicking through to the full profile shows the photograph on that page has also been replaced with the Memoji version.
While not an exact match, the Memoji versions of the executives are posed with the same expression and head angle as the original images they replace.
It is likely that the change was made to reflect the overall marketing of WWDC 2021 itself, which has heavily relied on Memoji imagery throughout. This may be an indication changes could be on the way for Memoji and Messages as part of "iOS 15."
This is not the first time that Apple has pulled off such a stunt. In 2018, Memoji avatars were superimposed on top of the executive photographs.
