Plugable releases seven-port stackable USB hub

By Andrew O'Hara

Plugable has launched its latest USB hub, the seven-port USBC-HUB7BC with support for power as well as data.

Plugable USBC-HUB7BC

The USBC-HUB7BC comes with both USB-C and USB-A connections to your computer and features both data and power on each port. Plugable offers 5Gbps of data and 2.4A of charging on each, even when all in use.

It follows Plugable's previous USBC-7IN1E, which also has seven ports but is meant more for travellers, and is limited to 1GB Ethernet.

The new hub is obviously for data, but you could equally use it as purely a standalone seven-device charger. There is no drop in charging speed when all ports are in use, thanks to the bundled 60W charger.

Plugable's new device was designed with stacking in mind as well, with a groove on the bottom that nests into the bump on the top. All of the ports have ample space above and below so when stacked they still are able to fit your connectors.

The Plugable USBC-HUB7BC hub is available now on Amazon for $48.95 but has a $10 discount for launch.
