Ahead of its streaming on Apple TV+ starting on November 5, "Dickinson" was celebrated at an Apple event at the Pacific Design Center in Los Angeles. It's the same venue Apple used for its "Ted Lasso" premiere in July 2021.
Unlike that show, the "Dickinson" premiere did not see Tim Cook joining the stars. However, according to a statement from Apple, it did see the show's cast and crew gather, including creator Alena Smith.
Smith is the creator, writer, and executive producer of the comedy drama. She also makes her directorial debut with the third season.
"In the third and final season," says Apple, "Emily Dickinson's most productive time as an artist falls amid the raging American Civil War and an equally fierce battle that divides her own family."
"As Emily tries to heal the divides around her," it continues, "she wonders if art can help keep hope alive, and whether the future can be better than the past."
The third season of "Dickinson" comprises 10 episodes. The first 3 will all be available to stream on November 5, 2021, with the rest debuting weekly until December 24, 2021.
