HomeKit Insider
There are a few news items this past week for us to cover on the HomeKit Insider podcast. Lutron introduced a new version of its popular Serena shades with all new designs. There's a new aluminum fascia, additional light-blocking fabrics, and new exposed-roller mounts.
Sonos released an updated version of its portable Roam AirPlay 2-enabled speaker that ditches the onboard microphone. The Roam SL has the same design and audio quality but no longer works with Amazon Alexa.
Finally, Aqara launched the G2H Pro stateside, after initially releasing it to the Asian market in late 2021.
After the news, we break down all of the non-HomeKit devices that we still use in our homes. Additionally, we discuss the likelihood these categories of products ever graduate to HomeKit.
