Apple's system status page showed 11 outages across its services including Apple Music, Apple Arcade, Apple TV+, and the App Store.
Apple services were down
Starting at 6:31 p.m. eastern on Wednesday, Apple acknowledged a widespread outage across multiple cloud services and systems. Outages seem to make the affected services completely unavailable to users. The outage was resolved at 7:35 p.m. eastern.
Apple hasn't provided a reason for the outage beyond "users experienced a problem." Not all users were affected.
Three additional issues were reported by Apple's system, but they appear to be affected by a different issue that started at 8:40 a.m. eastern. Services with an issue are Apple Business Essentials, Apple Business Manager, and Apple School Manager.
Services that had an outage:
- App Store
- Apple Arcade
- Apple Books
- Apple Fitness+
- Apple Music
- Apple Sports
- Apple TV Channels
- Apple TV+
- Audiobooks
- Apple Podcasts
- Mac App Store
The service outage has been resolved. If issues persist, it may take a few minutes for fixes to roll out before everything is fully functional.
