"Fortnite" and other Epic-published games have returned to the iPad -- though technically only for those in the European Union.
Fortnite returns to iPadOS
This is largely because an update to iPadOS 18 now allows users to download apps from third-party app stores on the iPad. Of course, this is restricted exclusively to the EU as part of Apple's push to comply with regulators.
The Epic Game Store for iOS was previously green lit by Apple in early July but only after the publisher complained that Apple shot the app down over issues with the interface.
