Apple issues fourth beta of iOS 9.3.3 as developers await iOS 10 beta 2

Both registered developers and public testers can now access the fourth beta of iOS 9.3.3, a minor forthcoming security and maintenance update for iPhone and iPad. New betas are also available for tvOS 9.2.2 and OS X 10.11.6.

The fourth betas of iOS 9.3.3 and OS X 10.11.6 are now available for developers and members of Apple's public beta program. tvOS is not included in the public beta program, however, and is limited to developers.

All three are expected to be minor updates. They also arrive just eight days after the third betas, suggesting a public release could be approaching soon.

Developers are still waiting for Apple's second beta releases of iOS 10, tvOS 10, macOS 10.12 Sierra and watchOS 3. All four platforms were unveiled more than two weeks ago at Apple's annual Worldwide Developers Conference.

Updates for the iOS beta are available at the Apple Developer Center, and also over the air for properly configured devices. Developers can update El Capitan through the developer portal, or through the Mac App Store's software update feature.

A tvOS beta update requires a USB-C to USB-A connector cable, and a physical connection between a computer running iTunes and the AppleTV. The final public-facing version won't require the connection for the update.
