Brydge first debuted the Max+ keyboard earlier in 2021, though the accessory was restricted to the 12.9-inch iPad Pro. On Friday, a version that will fit the 11-inch iPad Pro is now available.
The Max+ keyboard attaches to the rear of an iPad Pro or magnetically. It features backlit keys and a large multi-touch trackpad, as well as a row of shortcut keys for brightness, media playback, and other quick functions.
It connects to an Apple tablet via Wi-Fi. The lack of compatibility with Apple's Smart Connector means that it won't be able to draw power from an iPad -- users will need to charge it about every three months.
The Brydge Max+ is cheaper than Apple's Magic Keyboard. The 11-inch version, which will fit current iPad Air and 11-inch iPad Pro models, retails for $199.99 and is available in Space Gray, Silver, and White.
