The Apple TV+ film "Causeway" starring Jennifer Lawrence debuted Friday, and as a bonus, subscribers can watch the entire "Hunger Games" franchise and "Silver Linings Playbook" for a limited time.
Access bonus films on Apple TV+
Apple may have increased subscription prices for Apple TV+, but the company is also working to increase the platform's value. A new perk for subscribers will bring various movies and other content to Apple TV+ that relates to a current major release.
Jennifer Lawrence stars in "Causeway," which was released on Friday, so Apple will be offering all four "Hunger Games" titles and "Silver Linings Playbook" to subscribers until November 30. These movies can be streamed as a part of the Apple TV+ subscription at no extra cost.
This is a new feature that was quietly rolled out in October alongside the release of "The Greatest Beer Run Ever." Various war movies like "Good Morning Vietnam" were made available to subscribers.
Apple hasn't laid out any official rules for this bonus, but it appears to be a monthly update that aligns with a big release. To discover what is currently offered as part of the Apple TV+ subscription, look for a section called "Included with Apple TV+."
The bonus comes as a surprise since Apple doesn't offer a back catalog of content like other streamers. Instead, Apple has focused on building a library of original movies and shows.
Apple TV+ is available for $6.99 per month or via any tier of the Apple One subscription bundle. "Causeway" is now available to stream along with the bonus Jennifer Lawrence titles.
