Apple CEO Tim Cook has been spotted in Cannes, attending the film festival at the same time the Martin Scorsese film "Killers of the Flower Moon" made its debut.
Lily Gladstone and Leonardo DiCaprio in 'Killers of the Flower Moon'
Surfacing in a video of star Leonardo DiCaprio at a festival event, Cook is seen talking to the celebrity. As a black tie affair, both men are wearing tuxedos, with DiCaprio also sporting shades.
The Saturday publication of the candid clip on TikTok, as well as Apple's association with the film "Killers of the Flower Moon" that DiCaprio is in, was probably captured during the debut of the film itself.
Later, Cook posted to his personal Twitter account about the film, saying "We created Apple TV+ to tell stories that make a difference, and Killers of the Flower Moon' does just that." Cook goes on to thank the Osage Nation, Martin Scorsese, and others involved in "telling this important story."
Cook goes on to thank the Cannes Film Festival for "an unforgettable night."
According to The Independent, the film received a nine-minute standing ovation, and was hailed by critics as a "masterpiece."

DiCaprio stars alongside Lily Gladstone and Robert De Niro in the adaptation of the David Grann bestsellers, based on the true story of the Osage murders in the 1920s. After the discovery of oil, the Osage Nation became overnight millionaires, which resulted in the attention of greedy opportunists who extorted and embezzled before turning to murder.
A worldwide theatrical release is planned, with a limited release on Friday, October 6th before a wider release on Friday, October 20th. After that, it will be available to stream on Apple TV+.
