Luxshare has been steadily increasing in importance to Apple, and is now the sole manufacturer of the Apple Vision Pro. Reportedly, it got that contract specifically because of its willingness to test "crazy" Apple ideas.
According to Reuters, Luxshare chair Wang Laichun says the company is now producing three of the four models of iPhone 15. She didn't specify which three, but it is known that Apple previously approached her firm about producing the iPhone 15 Pro Max.
"Luxshare is continuing to expand its production capacity in China to meet Apple's needs," said Wang."The fact that Luxshare Precision can have this scale this year is inseparable from Apple's support."
Wang also said that Luxshare was also making what were described as production preparations for the manufacturer of the Vision Pro.
Previously, it was reported that Luxshare had won the Vision Pro orders at the expense of Pegatron, which had previously been expected to manufacture the device.
She also spoke of how the firm had built a new factory in Kunshan specifically to develop mass production of the iPhone.
